Tree Day 2017

Lá na gCrann (Tree Day) took place with week in Scoil Bhríde. Ms. Masterson’s first class helped our caretaker Frank plant a new Oak tree on the school grounds to celebrate the day. Some classes went on a lovely tree walk around the school grounds to investigate our lovely tree population. The Junior and Senior Infants took part in a Sammy Squirrel colouring competition to help celebrate the day.

Fifth Class Art

The children of 5B were studying the art of Kandinsky. Here’s a taste of their take on his famous “Squares with Concentric Circles”.

5B recently studied the Ancient Greeks and some of their myths. It inspired us to pick up the charcoal and draw “The Minotaur”

5B are currently studying the mountains of Ireland. We decided to get busy drawing with the charcoal again and created some amazing mountain scenes.

5B recently used the story of “The Dot” to inspire their paint work. The children created some beautiful pictures that demonstrate their artistic flair.

Welcome Back!

We would like to extend a very special welcome to all of our new students who started with us in September and to all students returning for the new school year.

Sport For All

On Friday 9th June we were delighted to have our own “Sport For All” inclusive sports day with the help of Aoife Byrne, Sports Inclusion Development Officer with Offaly Sports Partnership. Here, we took part in various sporting activities for all abilities. A big thank you to Aoife for all her help.
