Halloween Fancy Dress

Friday the 23rd October 2015 saw all of the children come to school in Halloween fancy dress. There was an excellent display of creative costumes, with a very high standard set by everyone.  A huge thank you to all of our children for participating in the fancy dress. A special thanks must also go to all the parents for their time and creative efforts in helping your children with their costumes.

Witches and Wizards Wood Walk

On Wednesday 21st October 2015, the boys and girls from First Class took part in our annual ‘Witches and Wizards Wood Walk’. The boys and girls had a great day. We saw lots of signs of Autumn including colourful leaves, acorns and nuts. We had a lovely walk around the woods and we finished up by feeding the ducks. Here are some pictures from our day.

Maths Week

Maths Week 2015 was a huge success! Children travelled to the Youth Café and Sweeney’s to spend their money and consolidate the money strand of the curriculum. Activities throughout the week demonstrated how maths can be both fun and useful. We had a bake sale on the Friday and the proceeds are going to St. Vincent De Paul. A big thank you to all the parents/guardians and children for their co-operation in making this a very enjoyable and educational week for all.
